The part we often skip over

Following our most recent blog post (read it here), something stayed with me.

I realised how easy it is to be so consumed with where we want to end up, that we overlook a really significant aspect: the person we're becoming in the process.

We want answers. We want to know what the end looks like, how it all fits together, when it will all make sense. And honestly, that’s completely fair. Uncertainty is uncomfortable, and waiting rarely feels good. Yet there’s truly so much beauty in the process when you shift your perspective.

Pausing long enough to reflect on the roads travelled allows you to see just how sacred the unfolding of becoming really is.

We don’t often talk about this element of the journey, mostly because it doesn’t feel like anything noteworthy is happening. Still, these seemingly uneventful moments we’re so eager to move past are often the very ones laying the groundwork for what’s ahead. And if the foundation isn’t steady, nothing we’re hoping to build on top of it will hold.

Each day shapes us. Each season - even the ones that feel insignificant - is working something into us. The character we’re forming now in the wait is the very thing that will help us carry what we’re praying for.

If you find it hard to be present in your now because your desired outcome isn’t yet your reality, try to adjust how you think about these moments. You are becoming, and that’s not something to rush. I'm a firm believer that it's something to be deeply enjoyed.

Remember you don’t only start living once you reach the goal, you're living now. So make sure you're living well.

WITH LOVE,
FEYISOLA
